The Celestial Café - on sale now

Those of you who have followed Stuart's diaries on the website will be interested to know that an edited collection of his 2002-2006 entries, titled 'The Celestial Café' is being published by Pomona Books.Covering the recording and touring around the 'Dear Catastrophe Waitress' and "The Life Pursuit' albums, Stuart promises that it is devoid of all the trademark excesses of rock diaries, and describes it thus:“The Celestial Café” is a collection of the diaries and thoughts of Stuart Murdoch, singer in the band Belle And Sebastian. They stem from the particularly un-rock and roll years of 2002-2006, and are subsequently very light on the subjects of drug taking, orgies and general debauchery.Mr Murdoch would like you to know that so that your precious time and money are not wasted. Thank you."The book will is now available from the Pomona website and at our UK shows before being on general release (and available through all good bookshops and this website) early in 2011.Stuart will also be reading from the book and answering some questions on Sunday afternoon at Bowlie 2.
