London Photo Shoot, January 2017

Hi Everyone,Thank you for the fantastic response to our request for models. Over 1100 applicants! The window for applications is now closed.Let me explain what we’re going to do now.I’m going to look through all the pictures.I’m going to make a ‘long list’ of about 100 people, and I’m going to get back to you in the next week or so.I’m going to check up with you if you are able to make it to London under your own steam, on the chosen date, which will likely be in January. (tbd)A lot of applicants followed links from other websites, and didn’t perhaps realise that it’s all happening in London, and have volunteered themselves from the corners of the globe!Even so, a lot of people from as far away as China, India and Argentina, have said they wouldn’t mind getting on a plane.. mmm. I’d feel bad thinking you came all that way, and for not much reward.The idea is that I’m going to shoot about 50 people for 3 EP sleeves. The design requires a collage of faces, so there may be as many as 12-15 faces on each sleeve, over the front and back. So I don’t predict there will be one or two, cover ‘stars’ as such.I mean, you’ll still look good! It’s just a long way to come if you have set your hopes on being the next ‘Painter Jane’ !So I’ll go through, pick 100 or so, write to you, and you can tell me if you think you can make it ok (because I can’t tell from some of your entries whether you are in London, or will have to travel)Let me just say again what a nice time I have had looking through the pictures so far. I swear I could have put all 1100 of you on the sleeves! But I must go through and pick people. I will admit, there will be a slight bias toward the people that submitted soonest, just because the numbers are so large.And you never know, if the process is a fruitful one, maybe we’ll come and shoot you in your hometown next time..Until we meetStuart x
